In light of World Animal Day

In light of World Animal Day

As an Animal Science student, I feel slightly obligated to mention the fact that it is WAD. And now that I have, I’ll also say something more.

If pets could talk, I’m sure they would tell us how much they love us. Unfortunately, they can’t, but at least I can tell you how much I like them.
When our dog Whisky gets so excited about me simply throwing a Frisbee through the garden, I can’t help but smile. That dog will love me no matter what. And that’s the beauty of animals, they accept all parts of you. It’s such a simple love. Such an unconditional love. Refreshing in a world of complication.
Animals teach us simplicity. To accept what is. And to love what is.
For us humans, I think there is a real lesson in that.
